About Us
Berkeley Caterers is a third generation family owned and operated corporate catering business. The success of our business stems from the intricate role of each family member, which includes Antonio Correia who has been with Berkeley for the past 32 years. Our energy, sincerity, talent, and determination are the cornerstones of Berkeley’s success. With many years still remaining on our lease, January 2003 marked the beginning of our 70th year at 49th and Madison Avenue.
Our 10,000 square feet space includes a full bakery, a complete kitchen, and offices. We solely operate for the benefit of our clients, and therefore, are not open to the public.
Berkeley has always felt that not only does it sell food, but service as well. It is understood that the food offered is held to a standard of excellence that is unmatched in quality of goods and presentation. The uniqueness of Berkeley is the individual service we offer to each corporation. Clients see Berkeley as their “individual chef” and receive service as if Berkeley is an employee. Our chef’s are internationally trained and can create any type of food, hot or cold – American, Chinese, Italian, Mexican or French. Everything is presented on china, unless otherwise instructed. Furthermore, we can also provide disposable plates, as well as china or white glove service upon the client’s request. Berkeley has elevated the standard one should expect of corporate catering. We want you to feel as though you are dining at the finest restaurant, whether it is just a bagel for breakfast or a filet mignon for lunch. At a moment’s notice, while you enjoy the comfort of your conference room, all your catering needs will be met.
Since client requests are consistently met and customer expectations are exceeded, Berkeley has developed strong relationships with its clients. While Berkeley sets the standard for catering in New York City, its clients set the standard for business.
